How accurate is our salary data?
Honest answers about where the numbers come from and how to use them.
Sourced from public datasets
Data is aggregated from publicly available sources including the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Glassdoor salary reports, LinkedIn salary insights, PayScale, and Indeed. No proprietary employer data is used.
Normalized to USD via PPP
All salaries are converted to USD using current exchange rates. Country comparison pages also show PPP-adjusted values — the local purchasing power equivalent — so you can compare what the salary actually buys, not just the number.
Estimates, not guarantees
These are estimated ranges based on aggregated data. Actual salaries depend on employer, city, specialization, education, and negotiation. Use these numbers as a benchmark and reference point, not a final offer.
Updated annually
Salary data is reviewed and updated at least once per year. The current dataset reflects 2026 figures. Currency rates update daily from the European Central Bank. Crypto prices refresh every 60 seconds.
